Administrative Assistant
The Tuscarawas County Public Library System is seeking a motivated individual who will assume the role of Administrative Assistant for the library system.
Position: Administrative Assistant
Status: 30 hours per week
Salary: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour; pay rate commensurate with skills and experience

Qualifications: One (1) year post-high school training in office practice, banking, or other directly related field OR Three to Four (3-4) years of secretarial/office/banking experience. Ohio Driver’s License in good standing.
Required Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel; Basic computer knowledge including cloud based services, Internet searching, online calendars, email, and file management
Required Skills: Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Oversees meeting space reservations including approving, denying, altering, and submitting FMX tickets for facilities and technology related needs
- Completes daily mail
- Researches, prices, and purchases system-wide library supplies; monitors supply budgets
- Opens and unpacks shipments and checks condition and accuracy of order
- Reconciles orders, solves billing problems, and approves invoices
- Provides clerical assistance - which includes typing, copying, database maintenance, taking messages, filing, and bulk mailings - for the Director and members of administration
- Provides clerical assistance – which includes cash drawer counts and bank deposits – for the Fiscal team
- Updates and maintains SDS book in conjunction with the Human Resource Specialist
- Completes special projects assigned by the Director
- Ability to load, unload, lift, shelve, transfer, and/or transport materials up to 50 lbs
- Ability to drive to locations within the library’s service district as needed
