Objective of the position:
The Information & Research Services Manager oversees implementation, development and evaluation of all adult and teen programs and services for Main Library. The Information & Research Services Manager is responsible for the planning and provision of information services to adults and teens including; reference, reader’s advisory services, outreach services, adult programming, and technology. This individual maintains responsibility for the development of adult nonfiction/fiction, teen, and reference collections in all formats. They also supervise a team of Reference Librarians and/or Assistants. The Information & Research Services Manager works with each department in the library to provide materials and excellent customer service to all customers. Committed to the Pickerington Public Library’s Mission to “Inspiring Learning, Connecting Community, Enriching Our World, Fostering a Love of Reading!” Leads and manages staff and building resources in order to achieve stated Library goals and objectives. The Manager aligns location initiatives with strategic and tactical plans.
